Fellowship Program & Study Group

SDPC FELLOWSHIP

SDPC began its one-year Fellowship program in 2010, as part of an initiative to provide introductory exposure to psychoanalytic concepts for early-career clinicians, advanced students, or established clinicians at the masters level or above.

The Fellowship runs from September through May each year. The program is centered on monthly seminars with pre-circulated readings. These seminars typically meet on Friday evenings at SDPC, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.

Also included in the Fellowship are individual mentorship and discounts to other public events at SDPC. The Fellowship is free of charge, but anyone who wishes CME credit is asked to pay $20 per seminar.

Applications to the 2025-26 Fellowship open on January 1, 2025, and close on May 31. To apply, please email a brief letter of interest and CV to the SDPC Fellowship Director at fellowship@sdpsychoanalytic.org.

Applications for the 2024-25 Academic Year are now closed.

SDPC STUDY GROUP

APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN FOR OUR 2024-2025 STUDY GROUP!

Join a group of early career and established mental health professionals utilizing a psychoanalytic framework to discuss and understand their clinical work. The group provides a safe, thoughtful, and collaborative setting while earning up to 15 CMEs per academic year. Although the group is limited to 12 members, we are looking for a few new therapists to join us.

The group meets in person once a month, typically on the second Wednesday of the month, from 7 pm to 8:30 pm at the San Diego Psychoanalytic Center. The group will consist of ten meetings over the year, beginning in September 2024 and finishing in June 2025. Scott Boles, Ph.D., will facilitate it. The cost of joining the study group is $250 for the year (includes 12 CMEs/CEs). For any questions contact: letstalk@sdpsychoanalytic.org.
