I have had the privilege of working in close collaboration with my patients to guide them, with compassion and respect, on the path towards greater self-understanding, self-confidence, effectiveness in relationships, and fulfillment in life.
We work together on problem-solving, building strengths and skills, and removing internal psychological obstacles to greater peace of mind and satisfaction in life.
I am readily accessible to my patients at urgent times. When needed, I am available for phone and videoconference sessions with established patients.
I am an experienced physician and psychotherapist with advanced, post-graduate training in psychoanalysis. I consult with therapists about challenges with patient care, practice-building,and career development. I help organizations with leadership and team development.
I have held medical leadership positions, including among others, the Board and Executive Committee member of San Diego Psychoanalytic Center, and I have been selected by my physician peers as one of of San Diego's Physicians of Exceptional Excellence (Top Doctors.)
