Description: Embarking on retirement is a significant transition for any professional, and for mental health providers, it comes with its own set of ethical challenges and clinical considerations. This presentation will detail the relevant clinical, ethical, and legal considerations for the provision of advanced planning for psychologists. Topics covered will include how to identify a professional executor, managing client transitions, outlining a framework for ethical decision-making, and creating a strategic plan for times of uncertainty in the form of a professional will. Dr. Rochelle Perper, Ph.D. will guide you through the process and provide you with the tools and insights needed to ensure that your departure from active practice is handled in an ethical, responsible, and professional manner.
